The Governor, a political drama series will begin airing tomorrow on EbonyLife TV, according to information.
Written by Yinka Ogun, Debo Oluwatuminu and Tunde Babalola, The Governor tells the story of Angela Ochello, the Deputy Governor of Savannah State who harbours no governorship ambition. However, the sudden demise of the incumbent Governor pitches her in a web of political intrigue.
The drama series is directed by Ema Edosio, while British-Nigerian actress, Caroline Chikezie, (Aeon Flux, BBC’s Casualty, Channel 4’s As If) plays the role of Angela Ochello.
Other cast members include Bimbo Manuel, Baaj Adebule, Kachi Nnochiri, and Simi Adejumo amongst others.
According to the producers, The Governor will take constituents and citizens alike through the shadowy, often gruesome corridors of power and promises to be packed with lots of intrigue, drama and sometimes humour.
