CASHING in on a successful outing last year, Bull Fuji Talent Hunt, a show organised by International Distillers Limited (IDL) to scout for budding Fuji artistes, has entered its third season.
Making the announcement recently at Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Mobolaji Alalade, the company’s Head of Marketing said that IDL is very committed to the consumer, thereby creating get value for them.
“Bull Gin and Bull Rum are two brands that have formed a collabo of sustainability that ensures that we have strong impact and significance to our consumers. And on the premise of that, we have the Bull Fuji Talent Hunt. This event has actually discovered talents. Last year, we discovered a lot of Fuji talents even though only one of them emerged winner. So, it is right to say IDL has done well for Fuji music in Nigeria,” Alalade said.
Packaged by Kingsize Entertainment, organisers say that this year, the competition has expanded by visiting more towns. In the words of to Lanre Alabi, Chief Operating Officer, Kingsize Entertainment, Bull Fuji Talent hunt aims to adequately bridge the gap between budding talents and their dreams. He explained that due too popular demand, the competition has added new towns to its itinerary.
“Last year when we set out for this event, we started from Ibadan. We went to Ogbomosho and Osogbo. Illorin, Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode were not included and there were protests from Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria and we promised them that this year, we will be going to them. We are starting in Ibadan this month. We will also be going to Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta, Osogbo, Akure and Illorin while the grand finale will hold June 14 at Jogor Centre, Ibadan,” he added.
Winner of this year’s competition, according to Alabi, will go home with a recording contract, cash prize, a Yamaha keyboard, and a Bull Brand ambassadorship for one year among other goodies.
